Sol Acres is being developed by MCL Land (Brighton) Pte Ltd, who won the HDB land sales for both plots of land, by narrow margins from its competitors.
It cost them $232.5 million for the Choa Chu Kang Grove Parcel A site, and $210.1 million for Parcel B, which works out to $375 per sq ft (psf) per plot ratio (ppr) and $339 psf, respectively.
As noted by Jones Lang LaSalle Singapore research head Ong Teck Hui then, by winning both sites, the MCL Land EC “… could be amalgamated as one integrated development enabling Parcel B’s disadvantages to be mitigated by design and thus achieving an overall average price that is better off than if the sites were individually developed“.

Another project coming up along Bukit Timah Road, but this time at the Newton end of it, is the Pullman Residences. Here we have an even more conveniently located site. For a start, it is directly across Dunearn Road from the Newton MRT station. This station is an interchange station, that connects the North-South red line, to the blue Downtown line.
